BACK END DEVELOPER

LOCATION: THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION IN ISLE OF MAN / UK/ EUROPE (visa offered for people outside of UK and relocation package)
Role purpose/mission: To support the business create engaging sports betting platform that fulfils the needs of our clients and their players, with the ultimate goal of being the number one B2B sports betting platform on the planet.

This is a really unique opportunity for Backend Developers who have experience with Golang to join a growing and diverse team; over the past 3-4 months we have almost doubled the IT department due to high volume and huge investment. The technical team are passionate, have an open forum for discussions and love people who will bring new ideas to the team. We're a technology business first, which allows us to have a tech-focused culture with greenfield development (we don't have legacy code), ensuring our developers have the autonomy in pursuing solutions, empowered, and engaged in an environment where they can thrive.

The Backend Developers will play a leading role in building and continuously improving our proprietary, omni-channel sports betting solution, as well as designing and implementing a variety of related and complementary systems within a cross-platform framework. It's a technically challenging role therefore you must have a high level of proficiency in Back-end technologies (Golang).

Responsibilities:

• Back-end design, development and maintenance of the Company’s server side omni-channel sports betting solution and gaming products.
• Research, evaluate and introduce new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and internal processes including estimating accurate time requirements for commercial agreements.
• Assess product opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the vision and prioritisation of new features and initiatives.
• Contribute to key development decisions and collaborate with Product and Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Design and build new products and features, as well as maintain and refactor older legacy systems.
• Ability to pick up other developer’s work on an ad hoc basis as well as support client enquiries and product handovers.
• With a focus on coding and debugging, take ownership of the server-side code base, oversee other developers and champion accepted best practice by demonstrating proper coding techniques including maintainability, reuse, clean code, unit testing and driving standards within the team.
• Perform UI tests to continually optimize performance

• 3 years working as a software engineer.
• Experience in setting up and designing new products, as well as the maintenance and refactoring of older legacy products.
• Agile (processes and methodology)
• Ideally you will have experience/knowledge of GoLang, however, if you are working with Java, PHP, NodeJS we offer training into GoLang (which is our backend stack)
• Strong knowledge with Linux system principles, proficient in using Linux commands and scripts.
• Relational database principles and SQL language.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL), web servers and UI/UX design.

The Recruitment Process:

This will be an initial chat to meet the team, followed by a tech interview. There will be no online tech test required.
